Antoni Tàpies i Puig, 1st Marquess of Tàpies (Catalan pronunciation: [ənˈtɔni ˈtapiəs]) (born in Barcelona, 13 December 1923 – died Barcelona, 6 February 2012) [ was a Catalan painter, sculptor and art theorist.
